Ship builds before the next milestone.
Developer workstations, build farms and GPU nodes for game studios.
The constraint
A large game project can take hours to compile from clean, and every shader permutation and lighting bake adds to the wait. Developers on mismatched hardware lose more time to inconsistent builds. Studios need fast seats, a shared farm for the heavy lifting, and both tuned to the engine they ship on.
Workloads
Developer workstations
High-core-count CPUs, fast NVMe storage and RTX GPUs for editor, code and art seats.
Build farms & shader compilation
Spread code and shader compiles across a farm with tools such as Unreal Build Accelerator, Incredibuild or FASTBuild.
Lighting bakes & cinematics
Bake lighting with GPU Lightmass and render trailers and cinematics in-engine on GPU nodes.
Automated testing
Run many headless game instances in parallel for regression, performance and bot-driven play tests.
AI in development
Run local models for code assistance, asset tagging and dialogue prototyping without uploading unreleased IP.
Systems
- GLabs AI Workstations — developer and artist seats.
- GLabs GPU Servers — bake, render and test nodes.
- GLabs Vault — version-control depots and asset storage.
Deployed with
GLIDS for seats, build farms and render nodes. GLabs AI Stack for local AI tools.

FAQs
What workstation specs speed up Unreal Engine compiles?
C++ compiles scale with CPU core count, memory and fast NVMe storage, and shader compilation is CPU-heavy too. The GPU matters for the editor viewport and for GPU Lightmass. We balance all three to the role of each seat.
Build farm or faster workstations?
Both have a place. Faster seats cut local iteration time; a farm shares compile and bake work across the whole team. Once several developers are waiting on the same builds, a farm usually earns its keep.
Do GPU nodes speed up lighting bakes?
Yes, with GPU bakers such as GPU Lightmass in Unreal Engine and the progressive GPU lightmapper in Unity. Bake time then scales with GPU memory and count, so dedicated nodes free artists' machines.
Can unreleased builds stay off the cloud?
Yes. Farms, test nodes and AI tools run on your premises, so unreleased code, assets and builds stay in-house.
